Image Journal: 5/18-5/28

5/19: A rain drop on a leaf: a liquid diamond on a bed of purple velvet.

I peeled off the soaked clothes and turned on the faucet. The heated droplets drove out  the chilling rain that had clung to my skin.

5/20: The weight of sleepless hours lay heavily upon my eyelids. The alarm rang in my ears, jarring my brain into unwanted consciousness.

5/21: The saturated air reverberated with the sound of millions upon millions of raindrops- splash, plop, drip- God’s perfectly composed symphony. A gust sweeps aside the dense curtain of rain, and a flash of lightning lights nature’s stage.

5/22: The magnoilia blooms with the blushing purity of a young bride.

5/25: The arena had an eerie feel to it when there were no lights to fill the empty shadows. The silence was profound. It pressed into us from all sides. I wanted to sing at the top of my lungs and will the void with a thousand echoes.

5/27: My feet meet the treadmill witha constant thump, thump, thump. My breath enters and leaves like ragged patrons and unwanted sweat accumulates on my brow.
